What can I expect from Oshun Yoga?

Oshun is a community born from the love of Yoga with a strong passion of community and connection. Our teachers and Yogi’s will make you feel right at home. Our Yoga and our classes are made for all bodies experienced or new to the practice.

I’m a yoga beginner – which style should I start with?

When you are starting out, we recommend slower classes which are called Lunar Flow, Earth Flow & Restore, Yin Yoga, Yoga/Breathwork & Meditation.

What do I need to know to prepare for my class?

Wear comfortable clothes.

Please bring a Yoga mat and a water bottle. We do not sell water at the studio, but have tea and water available.

Try not to eat 2 hours prior to the class.

Do I need to bring a Yoga Mat?

We do provide mats, but we would love you to bring your own Yoga mat or towel to place on top of one our mats. If you have forgotten your mat, we do have a towel you can hirer $1 at reception.

I need more space when I am practicing, what do you suggest?

For people who like more space we recommend the front two rows (closest to the teacher) as they are the ones we have left with more room between them (there are only 5 mats in each, as opposed to the back 2 rows that have 6) .

Why is Momence asking me to pay when I have a pass?

When you have purchased an intro offer or a pass it activates from the date of your first class. For example, if you have booked your first class on a Wednesday and then decide you want to attend a class on Tuesday too, you will be prompted to pay as your pass/intro offer has activated from the Wednesday. If you would like to change the activation date of your pass/intro offer, simply cancel future bookings and restart the pass from the date of your desired class - if this doesn’t fix the problem then please email us at hello@oshunretreat.com.au and we can help you out.

Do you have amenities at the studio?

We have a bathroom that includes a toilet and hand basin and a kitchenette.

What is the Oshun Yoga etiquette?

Arrive early, doors open 10-15 minutes prior to class, so please ensure you arrive with enough time to set up.

Check in at reception

Please remove your shoes as you enter and place them under the bench in reception

If you have to bring your phone (we prefer if you leave it at home or in the car) please turn your phone off or place on aeroplane mode and leave it in the back room. We have a very strict no phone policy in the shala.

Please commit to the practice for the entire class. If you need a break during the practice, take child’s pose or lie down.

I am pregnant, is it safe to practice?

Congratulations! Yes - we can help out for sure.  We have lots of pregnant women coming to yoga classes and although we don't have prenatal classes exclusively, a lot of our classes would be great for you. We recommend slower classes which are called yin, earth flow, lunar flow and yoga & breathwork classes.  However, best to check in with your doctor to get the all clear to practice.

What is your class cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy is in place to ensure everyone has the same chance to practice. If you cannot attend the class you have booked, please consider your fellow community and cancel as soon as possible.

We have a 4-hour cancellation policy, if you have cancelled within the 4 hours or a no show there will be a $10 late fee charge. Our 5 & 10 Session Passes will forfeit a pass as well.

Can I hire Oshun Yoga?

We do hire Oshun Yoga –An ideal workshop, photoshoot, healing and sound healing or a seminar room. You can find all details and forms below;

How many Intro Offers am I allowed to purchase?

We love the idea of an intro offer as it gives you an opportunity to try as many different classes as you want. We have two options you can choose from. $29 for 2 weeks of unlimited classes or $65 for 4 weeks of unlimited classes. The intro offers activates from the first date of your first class. We only allow one option per person and these intro offers cannot be paused during this time.

How do waitlists work?

If a class is full, you can add yourself to the waitlist. If a space becomes available, an email will automatically go to your email (sometimes it may land in your spam, double check there). Or alternatively we suggest to keep checking the class via Mindbody to check in you are in. Our cancellation policy still applies so it is important to cancel if you can no longer attend and we ask you remove yourself from the waitlist to give another Yogi an opportunity to practice.

What is your event/workshop policy?

We have a 48hour cancellation policy for all events and workshops, bookings cancelled outside of this time are non-refundable..

How do I pause my membership?

You can email us at hello@oshunretreat.com.au to pause your membership.  We require at least 2 weeks notice to pause your membership. You can pause your membership for up to 2 weeks maximum.

How do I cancel my membership?

You will need to email us directly at hello@oshunretreat.com.au and we can cancel your membership. You will not be able to do it through the Mindbody app.

Are passes transferable?

No unfortunately not, but we can be flexible with adding additional time etc. Just reach out!
